Picdar impresses Butler Group with attention to customer focus, scalability and flexibility of its business workflow solutions.

Organisations are failing to realise the value of digital content because there is too much of it, in too many different formats, stored in too many different locations, according to a new content management review published by the Butler Group, Europe's Leading IT Analyst Company. Investigating Picdar's Media Mogul the review says, Media Mogul is a well kept secret within the media world , adding that it can adapt to many environments offering a business focused solution for today s content rich organisations solving real business issues, today. Proven in the demanding environments of high speed publishing, notably national newspapers, Picdar's Media Mogul is well known for its ability to offer measurable value and advantage to organisations where high content volume forms a high value and integral part of their day to day business. Praising the flexibility and scalability of Media Mogul the review finds that it is able to store any form of content structured, unstructured, or compound, making it suitable for highly complex organisations across a wide range of industries.

Many systems purporting to offer true Enterprise Content Management (ECM) fall down because they do not have strong business workflow capability built in, whereas Picdar's development team see this as integral to Media Mogul s success in its markets. This approach to ECM development means that with Media Mogul, organisations can link seamlessly into their own existing business applications such as order and payment facilities.

Commenting on Picdar's approach to software development, the Butler Group review says that Media Mogul has been "designed to adapt to the working practices of the customer organisation, rather than the customer organisation having to adapt to a new system".

Lesley Steinitz, CEO at Picdar, said that the company continues to develop its proposition into new markets and assures users that Picdar will remain focused on product development that suits their needs. "It is no good shoe horning customers into something that they can t use profitably. As an organisation, we have developed and maintained our exemplary reputation based on making Media Mogul work for each new customer according to what will help them best", says Steinitz.

Picdar's existing customer base is testimony to its strength in the market. Users include the BBC, The Press Association, Hasbro, Standard Life and most of the UK s national newspapers. In conclusion, the review states that Media Mogul "offers functionality across virtually the entire spectrum of capabilities that Butler Group believes makes up the 'ideal' ECM solution".
