Anita Slade, content services director at Jane's, says: "We used to use another digital asset management system, but needed to improve and speed up our online information flows. We looked around and found that Media Mogul was the best."
The system provides copyright information and increases searchability. "Around 50% of our images are now digital, and 50% are in hard copy, with digital definitely on the increase," adds Slade. It can also enhance the quality and consistency of the published product across global locations by providing fast access to a wider choice of assets, giving control of how assets are used globally, and allowing more time for the creative process.
Lesley Steinitz, CEO at Picdar, says that the tailorability of the system means Jane's can adapt it for their own requirements: "It automates book, magazine and online publishing, and provides a high degree of automation and
integration. It offers more efficiency and speed for production."
Geoff McBride, project manager at Picdar, adds that users can update the records of the assets they use, and that it enables integration with Jane's other bespoke systems.
